Hello All Fellow bonsai enthusiasts. I'm new to this forum and I do enjoy working on Bonsai. I have 3 ficus trees and a arberacola tree that is about 30 years old. my question for today is I'm working to cut back the roots of a ficus and at the same time air layer a branch. I did look to see if there were any topics on this found a very good one but I do need some more input. thanks in advance.

I would not combine them. While the tree has a good rootsystem, airlayer. In 6 weeks when your fig has made roots (Assuming you are in a warm climate), repot.
