A cherrie plant belongs outside. If you got a cherrie in the middle of winter, fully in leaf, you are in trouble. It needs this winter. But you cannot (!) put a cherry in full leaf directly outside in winter weather. That will kill it. Do you have a frost-free but cold garage where you could put it?
ONLY water a plant when the roots are starting to get dry. Never on a schedule.
Feeding is a wrong term. They probably mean you should give it fertilizer. It is harder to over fertilize than to under fertilize. The consequences are also bigger (death vss looking pale & slow growing). I would not worry about fertilizer untill you have this plant healthy.
