I believe my ficus needs to be repotted as roots are starting to pop up around the sides of the pot and the soil is starting to raise on the side.

Also the tree is not anchored to the pot which doesn't seem to be helping the situation.

I have watched so many videos and read so many articles about repotting but tbh I have become quite fond of him and I'm afraid if I repot him I will do damage.

So I have added pics and I apologise for asking a question that has been asked countless times but do you agree I should repot?

I should add the tree seems to be growing quite a bit at the moment.

have you got good soil to repot in? in books they say ficus should be repotted sometime spring, lets say april. since yours is indoor it may not make a lot of difference. if the others here give you green light and you are ready with soil and understanding how to repot then go for it.

I prefer to repot ficus in summer, when there is lotsof light, and it is nice and warm. I find they recover quickly then. From your picture it is not possible t tell whether it needs repotting. When did you last repot?

If a ficus is growing well, reptting every year is to be expected.

It's still in the pot I bought it in. Have it about a month. I know it's early to repot but I'm concerned about the way the tree is pushing all the soil up on one side like it is busying out of the pot. Here is some more photos
