I love your enthusiasm . I see potential in the Lilac. Will be a giant work :)

Do I see zeolite in your pot? What else does your medium contain?

Iyou surprise us every time so even while I cannot predict the result for that lilac yet I am going to say it was worth the effort!

Good! I started to use them last year, and some of my smaller trees needed a repot after a year, because the roots grew like shrooms.

On the other hand they dry it out too quickly for me, especially the smaller pots.. so Im planning to mix them with diatomaceous earth

I collected this chinese cork bark elm today from a friend´s garden.
It had to give it´s place to some tulips.
Christmas time for me again :)

Massive trees the Lilac and the Cork Bark Elm... I really wouldn´t have a pot, or place in my house for that matter, that might contain such behemoths. Loved it all. Keep it up with the Christmas time Mimo :woohoo:

You must be joking!
This in a MONSTER Elm!

Is it going to be a penjing in a flat?

In a flat? Exterior tree? :)
In a few years this is gonna go on a marble slab for sure, and it is gonna be a legendary penjing! :D
One more tree from today, from the same garden as the elm - Cotinus coggygria (supposedly)
