I have no idea of how or when to begin with the tree or the order of things to be done with it.
If it is a young plant, put it in the ground for a year or two.
After letting it grow thicker, wait for the beginning of the Spring and put it in a training pot (larger than a bonsai pot, can be shallow but big).
Use a good draining soil, a mix of inorganic and organic (in a much lesser percentage.)
Prune it hard if needed to let only the essential branches and trunk on the tree, and wire it to give it shape. Don't fertilize for some weeks.
Water when the soil fells dry, sometimes in the summer twice a day.
Trim as needed during the growing season, fertilize every two weeks, and wait.
