I have a bonsai tree but I am not sure what type it is. I have looked at the ID guide and still don’t know. I have also looked at the my tree is dropping leaves guide but it seems to be dying. Any help would be great.

That is a sick looking plant. It is in a pot in a bowl that I think possibly has no holes. The soil looks very wet, and that is what is causing it, take it out of the bowl. If you bought it recently, then I think you should take it back, as it must have been in poor condition when bought.If when you look and there are no holes in the pot it must be changed, if there are holes fine. Allow it to dry out until the soil is just dry before watering again. It is difficult to tell what species it might be, but it may not live long enough to find out.
