Hi, I would like some help identifying my tree please, my girlfriend got it me nearly a month ago and the website she got it from didn’t mention the species, I was thinking Chinese elm burn am unsure because of the leaves.

I would also like help identifying a problem with the tree please, many of the leaves have pale green patches on them recently as seen in the photos, I can’t find online anything to do with this. The tree seems healthy otherwise I regularly mist it, have fertilised it 3 times since I got it, water it whenever the to top soil seems dry and it gets plenty of sunshine.
Thanks for your help:)

Doesn't look like a Chinese Elm, and I don't like the looks of its soil...
Yellowing leaves could be many factors, such as overwatering, age of the leaves, fungus or chlorosis, for instance.

Hi yes it looks like a Carmona.
The yellowing could be chlorosis... but looking at the soil it looks to me far too wet. Certainly it's an organic soil that retains humidity for days...

Sorry, but this really looks VERY different from a Carmona.
My guess is: Ligustrum Sinense, mallsai.

Hi Felidae, no be assured I was not misled by you!:)
I was misled by the look of the leaves... it indeed looked a Carmona to me at first glance but I was totally out of the track!

Guys, when identifying Carmona, always look for the tiny white dots on the leaves.
