This is a regular maple tree I found growing in my lawn(Canada). Can I make this into a Bonsai tree? If yes, any help on how I can prune it to make the trunk thicker? Thanks.

Not sure, cannot really see its relative size, but the long internodes, leaf stems and large leaves indicate this is not the most suitable species.

If you want to grow a thi k trunk you do NOT prune it.
