It is now out side, I have a small clear plastic greenhouse would you recommend me putting it in there or out in the elements and should I expect it to loose all it's leaves ?

Greenhouse is needed only if you expect particularly harsh winter (temps going well below freezing point, or not going above it for several days), otherwise you can just leave it in the elements.
It will indeed loose all/most leaves, unless winter is unusually warm...

This may be a stupid question but I am new to this. Do you have to shelter your tree from the rain so it don't get to much water because in the UK it rains a lot.

I live in Sweden and it might rain even more in the winter. I do protect my trees from rain during this period. However, I have never tried not to. I would assume it depends on species and soil.
