Bought at local grocery, didnt state the species. Tried looking on google and here and I thought ginseng ficus. But then the care info talked about fig and the pics looked different, so now I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated

But not a bonsai. Groceries don't sell bonsai.

My ficus was a grocery store purchase, and looks pretty good. It was about $5.00 about 1997 and took some work. It was in a pot about the size of my hand and now is in a pot about 20", 50 cm.

Oh, $5.00 would be €4.00.

This is pretty dark, because it's night and raining outside. Maybe tomorrow, it it isn't raining when I get home.

A much better picture. It will get its usual spring major trim soon, and probably a larger pot in a couple of years. There is a pencil sitting on the dirt for size purposes.

Also is the current major project, a boxwood that was in front of the house in 1986, close to my height then. So probably 50 years old. Last April I dug it up. Last month I cut a lot of deadwood off, last weekend I put it in a pot, and next will do some trimming, picking out where green stuff will be, then all summer carving jin. Comments are welcome, and I might pay attention to one or two.
