Hello! I bought and planted a cherry blossom seed after cold stratification. It's been pretty hot for the last 2 months in Australia so it's looking brown but it has recently started going green at the bottom. However, I am not sure if it really is a cherry blossom since I can't find pictures online about how a cherry blossom sprout should look like. Sorry, I'm a beginner :)

The brown stick looking thing has been growing in the past few days, I can take another picture tomorrow and show if you'd like.

I only see a white sprout that is dying - and will be totally dead within less than a week and a pot that is far too wet?

Finding what a cherry seedling looks like is not that hard, really, but no one will be able to tell you what this is.

I thought it was dying but it was brown a few weeks ago and it was drooping. Once the temperature got cooler, it started straightening up again, which is why I was wondering what is going on. Also thank you for telling me that the pot is too wet, didn't know what the instructions meant by "keep the soil moist". :)

If you stick a finger in the soil and it feels moist (it sticks to the finger) then you are watering correctly.
By the picture surely it is way too wet.
