My son sent me an outdoor Satsuki Azalea Bonsai for Valentine's Day this past February. I live in Illinois where it stays plenty cold until at least April, so I kept it inside until then. It is now outside. But for the past month, the leaves have been browning. I recently repotted it in a larger container hoping that would help, but no. I should note too that I live in the country and have been using well water to water it. Should I switch to distilled water? I also noticed this morning a teeny little spider crawling in the soil, as well as some tiny little white bugs, about the size of a period. I'm assuming these are some kind of mites. Please help! I really want to keep my little tree alive!

You should not have it inside and you should not have re potted it. Get rid of the stones on the surface. What did you use to re pot? The soil you should have used is Kanuma which is a soil that has a lower pH. There is nothing wrong wit the water you are using unless it is contaminated. If you drink it then it is fine. I can't see much wrong apart from a few leaves that are dying, so The insects are probably nothing, but you need to get the watering right and start fertiliser when it starts to grow.
