Hello everyone . i Just got this little pine and I am wondering if it is a junperus or what kind it is so I can provide the best care for it .
If it's a juniperus , I am very confused about feeding . All I'm sure is it needs a more nitrogen in the spring . but some say you should not fertilize in summer and some say to fertilize all year round .
another question , does the golden leafs affect the caring method? since it's apparently a random thing in plants to have some yellow gold leafs . Do I need more or less sunlight or watering or feeding ?

It is a juniper, a very young one. I would plant it in the garden, and let it grow freely for a long time to fatten up.
The "golden" leafs are dead....
Concerning sunlight: as much as possible ( I do hope you have it outside?)

Thanks for the attention.
First : are you sure the golden leafs are death? They look and feel pretty healthy and young. The brown leafs are absolutely death ones but those yellow gold ones in the pictures seems to be something like a chimera plant which has multicolor leafs.
Second : What about the fertilizer? Should i fertilize in summer?
Third: I don't mind the trunk not to get thick fast or the plant grow slow in total. Do you suggest planting in garden for survival or for faster growth?
And yes it's outside and gets at least 4 hours direct light

yes they are dead. junipers are not multicolor and should only be green.

personally, yes i fertilize during summer.

LucR suggest the grown so you can achieve a thicker trunk and a better aesthetically looking tree. so i guess yes you can also say faster growing.

They look alive, but no in good health. Stop the fertiliser when they are so weak, allow them to grow and in full sun. They look very dry so water more
