hey everyone
as you can see, my tree doesn't seem good. its leaves are getting yellow and falls one after another. in fact it's not my tree and i'm just taking care of it for a while until her owner come back. i don't know what to do. i'm watering it regularly and put it indoor in shade cause i'm afraid if it get sunshine, its remaining leaves get yellow and fall down. can you please help me? i'm a total novice.

It should be outside, in a place that gets shade in the afternoon. It also looks like it is getting too much water by the second pic. Elms should dry out a bit before you water them.

Put it outside where it will get early morning sun and then shaded for the hottest part of the day. poke a chopstick or skewer in the soil for a few minutes...only water it when the stick comes out clean. If it's even slightly damp....wait.
Most importantly, leave this tree outside.
good luck.

you know, unfortunately our apartment doesn't have morning sunshine and in the afternoon it's really hot! what's your suggestion?
of course i put my plant outside in the balcony but somewhere in shade, protected from afternoon's sunshine. but i didn't notice any change.

This thread was only started a few days ago. This tree is stressed and needs time to recover....like a month or two. Don't fertilize it or anything.Leave it outside and water it when it's dry. That's what it needs right now.
