m5eaygeoff is most certainly right, it is a hardy/very hardy tree.

but to auk: the skill and creativity of mother nature is involved with the tree. to put it straight, you are right, there is not much/any skill or creativity in the tree, sorry. but to me, the fact it has grown naturally makes it quite cool.

i mean that there was no interference with the tree, and it still looks quite nice knowing it or not knowing.

Thank you all for you comments! I do realize that it isn't much to look at, at this time however it is my tree/twig and my overall goal is to maintain it and keep it healthy. I'm not on this site for the true definition of bonsai and art. I believe that is something I'll learn over time. I'm a beginner and as most beginners we go through growing pains of learning. Perhaps one day this twig will be true bonsai!

i do not know about any one else, but that was a pretty cool speech/post. well said wisco bonsai.

You did not get scared away by negative reactions and are determined to keep your tiny tree alive.

Ah, I understand. It has been interfered with though.

as i think it is a juniperus procumbus "nana", i think the semi cascade style would be nice, or even the full cascade if possible.

There's nothing to style. The poor thing hardly has a trunk, branches that are not usable as they are too tiny and lack ramification, and there will be no noticeable nebari.

Just let it grow for 5 years or so. Maybe then you've got something to work with.

Of course you can also cut off the left branch, put a tiny japanese fisherman under it, and pretend it is windswept style.
