First post, second post; Directly or indirectly. Who cares. Point is: There is absolutely no reason to be stupidly rude to someone willing to look beyond the regular stuff and experiment. If a person does not understand it, or do not have the vision, it does not make something stupid.

Obviously I am not entitled to an opinion. And the comment was not to the original post.

I am not surprised no one has done it. The tree would be very small to begin with. How would you prune it? You can't keep taking it out. No sorry, stick to Tillandsias or orchids or any other small plant but it is not for bonsai
this was my reply

OK... the only posts after the above were from Leatherback:

"Main problem I would see is drainage. Of course, you could find a globe with drainage holes in it."

And Bob, who ideas mostly seem not his own, but a confirmation of those of others:

"yes, it would be fine, as long as there is a hatch, so you can prune it and water it"

So, what exactly was it that made you write: "I have never heard anything so stupid" ?
Was that the idea of drainage, or a hatch ?

if it were me I think I would try one of these and drill a hole in the bottom with diamond bit and see how it worked. just my thoughts, good luck.

Our Large Crosswinds Terrarium is a distinctive clear glass terrarium with two openings to make planting and watering a cinch. The two openings create a breezeway and should be used to grow plants that do not require high humidity to thrive. Another benefit of our Large Crosswinds Terrarium with two openings is that it minimizes the chance of plant diseases, although you will have to monitor the moisture level more often. Terrariums with unique shapes are much on the garden and home décor scene right now, and bringing the outdoors inside with our unique shaped Large Crosswinds Terrarium will be the beautiful building block of your terrarium project.

they do have these in a hanging type.
