Hi Alain,

I haven't used anything as I run out of old bicycle inner tubes. I don't mind it cutting in as it's a experimental tree and because they grow so slow I don't think I'll have a problem with that. All of the guy wires go down to the pot though and because I'll have to repot it some time soon I'll have to re-do the guy wires anyway so I'll pop some protection on there.

But thanks anyway, It's a definitely a good piece of advice if someone isn't aware of that.
