This years trees. Still a bit of work ahead of them. Both will eventually get a thread of their own, I suppose.

Nice result! I have seen pictures of Burrs, but not the result of the taxus .
I like the Larix a well, Nice to see some good material passing by, After a endless stream of (dying) malsai.

Cheers

I hadn´t seen this thread before... Again, the effects of being lost from here for, maybe, the past two years... :S

In any case, as usual, beautiful trees those you have in your power :). Just a question, though... Ain´t time already for that Taxus to be in a Bonsai pot instead in a training one?

Wish I had a Taxus like that!

Alain

Hm.. The ever lasting dicussion on when a plant goes in a bonsai pot. For me, as long as the main branches have not set, they stay in a large pot, allowing good growth & health. It looks a little ugly on the benches -Out of my ~120 trees only some 20 are in nice pots- but I believe this is a long-term hobby and not a sprint to quickly get something in a nice pot. And the trees are mostly too big to just put them in a bigger pot for development.

Well, out of my 22 trees only 5 are in a bonsai pot, so I guess this is the right proportion?
