My "tree from nature" photo:

Inspirational because it is such a stunning sight to see such fine ramification in winter.

My tree from nature is this big tropical tree. Made this picture in 2008 during my summer holiday in South-France.

It inspires me because these trees aren't here in my country and because this tree is maybe even older than the city built around it!
(To give you a better view from the big trunk, far right am I, left from me my 2 brothers, this tree has one of the biggest trunks I've ever seen!)

My inspirational bonsai is... An 800 years old Juniper! This tree belongs to the Shunka-En nursery in Japan (copyright by Oscar ;) )

What inspires me the most is that this tree is really old and is passed on from generation to generation. Since I saw this picture I finally knew what the famous line 'A tree will never be finished' means. Also this tree shows the age of the bonsai culture, I hope this tree will be with us for a very long time!

Let's give it a try ;)

I found this one in Pretoria (South-Africa) and find it quite inspirational for the hokidachi style because of the full ramification and the perfectly rounding.

This is a tree in my local town, I think it has beautiful branches, and it is old, and it has stood its ground while the city was built around it.

This tree is an inspiration for me. We have a lot of beautiful old trees in the area and this one somehow has laid claim to this plot of land in the middle of the city. It has hollow pieces and the movement of the branches is amazing. It's winter here in WNY and so I wasn't able to get a good picture with my phone due to the lack of sunlight, but this tree is old, it's beautiful, it's graceful, and it's stood its ground.

That is gorgeous Youri .. I wish I was back in Texas when this started. There is a grove of trees there that is remarkable. You know -- lotsa those big trees that can withstand a tire swing or a treehouse.
