Here a picture of a Picea Abies 'little gem 'from a garden center.
Lots of die back then.Lucky me, there was plenty left to work with.
Hope it will do better,now i know they don't like fish emulsion on there leafs .
It will never be a top tree,but i like to see how it will look like in the future.

One small comment: The main direction of the tree is to the right, the top is pointing to the left. I think it should move to the right like the rest of the tree.

i think it looks great! did know what you wanted the final tree to look like? could you see it through the bush! or did you just start trimming and it revealed itself? i wouldnt know where to begin. well done!

i cheated a bid with the top branch on the right,it comes from behind.
I have to fix that when the top is spreading out with new growth.

When i bought the plant i felt a decent base of the trunk, for that price. I could not see it, so it revealed itself.

Yes - but I don't mean the complete top, just the upper part. Don't worry about it though, the tree looks good.

that's fixable.

Little update, they are really sensetive of dieback and it has lost a lot of the needles. the good thing it is still making new growt. The needles need to be rinsed with water, after working on it. I have being told that the acid on our hands is partly the problem of the dieback. Just finished it and i'm pleased.

That's a good looking tree, Orlando. Tell me more about this acid issue. I don't own any picea specimens anymore, but now I'm curious.
