Trying to have some thread going here.

This little Zelkova over rock is due a repotting this year. The pot is not selected yet, my question is what type, colour and size pot would you choose?

Is it big? It looks medium to small size from the picture.
Even sitting on a rock, I see it as feminine; perhaps an oval pot?

Relatively small the current plastic pot is 20x15cm, the tree is 28cm tall from the soil surface

Shallow, oval, glazed pot with green in it. I think.

Yeah I read several articles, I was rather curious of your opinions. Its not my mother language so i might did not express myself correctly. And what you can find about it on this website is not really helpful in my opinion

So if you can share any ideas or articles about said topic or just say there is no rule about this, that would be helpful

So I chose an oval pot. It should have been a bit wider. My bad. I told the pottery guy that I wanted an olive greenish colour, but he said that some of the ingredient of the maze refused to turn out to be green It became light brown with a touch of yellow. I decided to go with it.
The tree was pretty much root bounded. It was unhealthy last summer , I was suspecting its the root.

I would not cut this much root at once normally, but half of it was already dead. It grew fresh roots recently and has a lot near the surface, so I hope I did not risk too much.
