I have read the right mix is Ficus trees do well in a mix that is 60% aggregate and 40% organic matter.
I live in Estonia and bonsai is not very known in our State. I need help for soil mix. I have Ficus gingseng and my soil is only bonsai soil mix what can buy in stores. I want to create the right soil mix and repot my bonsai.

I have no akadama, can i use something other?
Can i buy akadama in every garden shop? Is there any other solution?
We do not even have the right bonsai pots must be ordered in internet.
I made myself a pot first . But now want to replant the tree to the right pot and the right soil mixture.

thanks for the help!!! B)

I have no experience with ficus but i can say you cant buy akadama at ANY garden centres. Only if they have a specified section for true bonsai may they have akadama. If the centres dont have akadama then try the nearest bonsai nursery, if there is no bonsai nursery near you then get it from the internet. The only problem with that is the bags are massive and can supply you for about 10 repots wih a 20-20-7 pot. When buying from a nursery, they may give you the required amount for that specific price. Good luck!

Is there anything that can not be replaced or akadama is strongly needed to constituents . In principle can not be replanted if I do not have akadama

This is the only online bonsai shop in our country . www.bonsaipood.eu/

Or should I ask for one of our country's largest plant to the store if they can sell akadama.

You do not need Akadama for the ficus, use what you have, you can use any compost that is available, they are not fussy. In fact I would not use Akadama for ficus. Ordering from the internet will be very expensive in carriage, it will double or more the price of the soil.
Have you searched for bonsai clubs in Estonia? I would have thought it would be possible to find others who grow bonsai,
Geoff.

I think I must start selling 'bonsai' and get rich.

They sell akadama. 11 euro for 0,5 kg. But as said, you do not need akadama.

Yes , I have been looking for Bonsai clubs and books but have not found anything in English only . That's why I joined this forum to get help .

My Bonsai is just a new theme. But would like to nurture and care for him properly . The plan is to buy a mountain pine, and room to grow for him. For this reason, I shall examine how to take care of a certain tree .

Bonsai is a very expensive deal in Estonia . I am looking for solutions on how to do it cheaply . Any suggestions are welcome.

I am very grateful if I can help forum .

Should I use bonsai soil 50 % and the remaining 50 % should represent ? What I find stores ? Do not want to buy expensive soil mixtures . Recommend some homemade soil mix ?

Can you suggest the right kind of Bonsai pots order from Ebay . We do not have any to sell.

if you are looking for a basic soil mixture which is cheap, then i would recommend john innes no. 2, course grit, and fine grit. this mixture will be a basic soil mix for most trees including ficus. pines prefer a more free draining soil mixture. sorry, just to be sure, i do not know whether you are going to put the pine indoors or outdoors, they are meant to be outdoor trees. you may already know this but just to make sure that you are putting it outside. a good supplier of pots is kaizen bonsai. they have a good range. dont know anything on ebay.

The best would be 50 % and 50 % grit bonsai soil . ? should be used , or something else ?

I wanted to grow the mountain pine room . Can you recommend other than Ficuse room to grow for bonsai. I'd like something like pine or juniper grow . Or these trees growing room is quite impossible .

sorry, it may be the web translation, but i cant get what you are saying about the ficus and pine room? if you wish to grow the pine indoors, then dont, they will only survive 2 days or so if they are indoors. you need to keep mountain pines outdoors, they a very hardy.

there is no such thing as bonsai soil. if anything, if you know, what is in this "bonsai soil", you can use potting compost, a good horticultural grit and many more things to improve drainage. as i said, pines prefer a more draining soil.
