So I have tropical species like Calliandra, Serissas, Pomegranate, Ficus Retusa that sit happily outside, but...
I used to bring some tropicals inside when the temperature dropped below 10º C, by the uncurtained windows, no heating, plenty of light. These lower temperatures occur not always, winters here are very mild. So it was in/out with the plants all winter.
Now I have decided to let them out this season, based on their need to rest and to be sure they will wake up in spring at the right time.
Question is, is it possible some of them will die of cold if the temperature suddenly drops to, let's say, 1º C? It happens sometimes.
