I've got, since a few weeks, this Rhus Succedanea (Toxicodendron S.) which has fascinated me for long and now I've added it to my collection.
However I cannot find plenty of material in the web as to how to treat and train it as a future bonsai.
- Does it love lots of water or sparse watering (i.e water only when dry, etc)?
- Does it stand full sun in summer (I live in downtown Milan, northern Italy, and summers are quite harsh) or semi-shade is better?
- When is it best to wire it (if it stands wiring at all)?
- When is it best to prune it?
- etc etc
Of course I can merely apply general, common sense rules that could be valid to each of the above questions but I'd like to be sure of treating this little plant correctly.
