As I am travelling again to the Tropical Northeast of Brazil, and took the Sunday off, so I decided to check on a legend around here: The biggest cashew tree in the world, and people here has told me it fills an area of one block, approximately the size of a football field.
I was a little suspicious, but...
Pictures speak for themselves, take a look:
The sign. There is a park, and the tree IS the park! You don't take just a walk in the woods, it's the same tree all around.
This is the trunk. Yes, there is only one trunk, of course, but many, many branches!
As I said, many branches...
And more branches...
And the view from above. Believe me, all this green you see in the picture IS the tree, covering an immense area.
Later I will post an aerial view (from a drone) a friend took, it is impressive.
Trees do amazing things, don't they?
