Many years ago I left on vacation, leaving a timer to turn the sprinklers on. When we go back, there was a note on the door from the neighbor telling me that somebody had come by and turned the hose on while we were gone. He had thoughtfully turned the water off, saving me some water.

They were all dead.

the app will only tell you that water is turned on if the system itself turns the water on or if someone turns the water on using the keypad on the docking station. but if the water is manually turned on at the manifold then no you will not get a notification. for this reason I dug the manifold in the ground so the only way you can turn the system on is if you do it through the app or docking station.
