Oh, autumn has come here with heavy rain and strong wind.. Though autumn is also a beautiful time of the year with all trees changing color! I only hope winter will be not as disastrous as last year. (luckily for me, only 1 tree died, but many Bonsai nurseries have lost thousands of dallers worth on trees and some bonsai enthusiasts that were doing bonsai for about 30/40 years now, have also lost a big part of their collection).
Hope everything has went well this winter with your trees and enjoy spring!

That's terrible to hear, its so sad hearing about well developed bonsai's perishing away. Luckily where I live the winter doesn't get too cold, only snows on mountain tops, the biggest problem is heavy wind and rain that brews up from the Atlantic ocean. We also have to be careful in our summer, it gets so hot that mame trees often have to get watered 3 times a day. I hope you didn't loose a prized tree.
No, fortunately, it was still material! It's indeed very sad to hear people who have 40 years experience lose half of their collection, that can't be replaced. Some people even considered to stop, that's very sad.. Fortunately they didn't stop, but at an old age you can't replace trees that have been worked on for 40 years or longer.
