Hi,
My bonsai started to feel very sad after I moved it to a new flat. The leaves started wilting and changed color to a lighter green. The leaves are not falling nor dry. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Thank you

At first glance I would think it was very dry. but sat on top of a cooker may not help. (joke) obviously it did not like the move, check to see if it is dry, otherwise as much light as possible and away from any heat source.

Thank you for the message. I also thought it was dry initially so I soaked it in water for 15 min and also moved it in a cooler place but it still didn't help. Also. Some of the older leaves have some dark spots. I am afraid of overwatering it now. I feel so helpless to see it getting worse each day

As I said it has reacted being moved. It needs light. Do not soak for 15 minutes, if you must dunk it just until the bubbles disappear is enough, but it should recover in time. It needs to be in the brightest place possible which may not be easy in winter.

If you cut away some roots when you move it to a new pot, you also need to remove the same percentage leaves. Now the root cannot provide enough water for leaves.

This is incorrect. The leaves provide the energy fot the tree to grow new roots.

This is just a myth, isn't it?

I would say its debatable, if its a myth or not, but it needs to be in the told/read in the right context.
When removing a large part of the feeder roots, in warmer conditions, those roots cannot provide enough water, to keep them stiff and healthy. (transpires more then roots water intake)
When removing a part of the foilage, it transprires less, and can use those healthy leafs to produce new sugers to create new roots.
If it needs to be the same % i would say that is wrong to assume. It should be determined by the health of the tree, and the conditions / locations of the whereabouts.
