I've noticed a bit of bark distortion around some branches that are close to a cut I made a couple of years ago and I'm starting to worry it could be a health issue.

The leaves are otherwise healthy, there's lots of new growth coming through, but the tree has been having a rough time after a root prune.

The main bark distortion is quite localised but there are also a lot of small dark bumps over the trunk that look similar, though I'm not certain they are connected.

Any advice on what this is and how I should treat it is greatly appreciated.

Here's some that was at the top of some dead wood.
