Disclaimer: I'm far from being a pro or even an advanced practitioner, so just giving my opinion
That looks a nice tree indeed, although the lower trunk seems a bit too straight...
Hard to judge without having a reference of its actual thickness, but if that trunk is still flexible enough I'd try to slowly bend it downwards do get some movement and go for a cascade.
As for the upper part, I'd try to arrange the foliage in 3 or 4 pads, to provide a frame for the deadwood at the base of the trunk...
