With the Bonsai club, we visited Lagas bonsai, known for his large collection of pre-bonsai - including a lot of great Yamadori.
I found this little juniper there, that had big fat stumps of old branches. Seemed a nice tree to practice my carving on.

Took me quite some time, but I'm not unhappy with the result. Obviously, this is not the final result. I'll let the elements do their work, and later - probably next year - refine the work. It's not fully clear where the live veins feeding that left branch are. There are three areas, at the back, at the top, and at the front. I hope this thin strip at the front will continue to grow and get fatter.
