This is yet another tree that I received from the old lady, the same one who gave me the crabapple. I think this was 2 years ago.
Never posted it, I think. It is not really a good tree. It seems it hasn't been maintained for a longer period. The branches are leggy. The trunk base is reasonable, but higher up it gets very straight and has no tapering. The roots are no good. That first branch, the ramification.. difficult tree. Still not sure what to do with it, other than let it grow and hope for backbudding (which hasn't happened yet, so far).
Posting it now, as - who knows what the future may bring - I may use this to show the progression. If any...
Still happy with it and taking good care of it. Quite soon I'll send my yearly update, with pictures of all 4 trees I got, to the daughter of the old lady.
By the way, could someone confirm this is a Tilia Cordata? I'm not sure.
