This is my first time wiring a tree. I made a mess. But I learned a lot. I was wondering if anyone can tell me some
Suggestions to bend the main trunk for more of a windswept look. It's one of my favs.
The lower part of the tree has a slight bend already. Would guy wiring work?
Here are some photos.

Your wiring is not very good. If you must bend the trunk then you need a thick wire. I think it is the wrong style for the plant I would not wire at all.

I would put the wire into a fire then into cold water to make it softer, then check out some wiring technics. Double-tripple the wire or us bigger wire to bend it. As m5eaygeoff said, check out some other styles before wiring.

Rather than making a style out of difficult material it would be better to make an informal upright and move the branches to where they would suit. Remove the wire which is doing nothing -that is not positioning the branch but there for the sake of it, and do not try to bend a trunk that is not going to be easy or look right if it does bend.
