Hi!
I've got this ficus bonsai and the shape's all wrong. I inherited it from a crazy person and I'm not sure what he was going for by having this long stalk. I was considering pruning the whole top half off to let the bottom leaves grow, but I'm not sure if that will kill the whole thing. Below are some photos. The red line is where I'm considering pruning. Any advice?

Anywho, that looks like an acceptable cut. It will slow your growth and take about 2 weeks before new growth appears. (Unless buds are already on the other branches). Watch how much you water it (A lot of people new to the forum end up over watering their "bonsai").
