hi all,
this year i will be repotting a few trees i have in my garden (needle juniper, manzanita, bougainvillea and weeping willow)
i currently use an organic mix. Ingredients: Turface Calcined Clay, Peat Moss, Pumice, Small Fir Bark, Vermiculite, Sand

i was wondering if you guys maybe had some good recommendations for a good soil/ soils for a couple of my trees that might help out. i haven't had problems with the soil mix i currently use but have heard that soil has a lot to do with growth and root development. Your thoughts?

Soil is a heavily contested area. In general, make sure you have a well draining mixture, able to retain moisture for long enough till yr next watering.
It is more how you care for the plants than the substrate, imo

Here are a few links to soils, their components, and why you may want to include / exclude a certain material. I found all of these extremely educational and helpful with improving my soil mix.
