For Ficus Ginseng any general purpose liquid fertilizer would be fine. Apply it at least once a month during growing season. Once winter hits go back to just water and no fertilizer. Even though you probably have the plant indoors growth will slow down.

Plants were not eveolved to survive in the dark, dry burrows we call houses. Yes. Plants do better outside, assuming the weather is suitable for the species.

The reason to take them indoors is mainly because winters outside the subtropics are to cold for survival.

Like people, plant burn when exposed to full sun after a period in the dark. So they take time to get used to it. First in shade and late early day sun. After some time you can move them to full sun.
