Just got all of these in the mail. Got the kit from Amazon first and I've had ZERO germination.

So I got another batch from another supplier. Fingers crossed.

Now you know that there are con men about and you could have collected seed that would have been cheaper and more likely to germinate. Far better is to go to a nursery or garden centre and buy a plant that is alive and going to grow. There is no such thing as bonsai seed by the way, find you local bonsai group where you will also fine people that are selling trees and can help you get started. Do not try to keep any of the trees you do get inside. Outside only.

Geoff has given you most of the information you need.

However, I would like to add: if you really want to grow trees from seeds, the best way is to collect seeds locally. They are the species most likelly to sucsed in your area. But it is important to understand that the time between sowing seeds and start training a bonsai is 5-10 years depending on species.
