Hello, two years ago, I rescued this bonsai from an eccentric Austrian man.
Then it had been repotted into this pot with no leaves.
I thought the best thing to do would be to leave it and continue taking care of it.
As you can see it is much happier and has recovered well.
It seems there is only one branch still active, and seems to be growing up and out.
My question is, it seems it will keep growing higher and longer, and I would like to create more strong branches in the centre to have further aesthetic options.
What is the best path forward in your opinion, lovely tree people.

Looks like an overpot (Übertopf) !?

This tree has suffered low light conditions for a very long time. If there are draining holes in the pot I recommend a summer outdoors. If there are no drainage, I recomend change pot and then a summer outdoors.

Thats correct. I am planning to repot it soon.

Yes .. than repot in a pot with a drainhole !
