Hi there, sorry about the thank you lb, keep on pressing by accident. One more thing to add. If you have chrysal bonsai feed then dont feed once a week as directed on the package feed twice a week as once a week is too much. It is not the best feed though so i would suggest to get another feed.

Depending on time of year and the plant you will not be fertilising much at this time of year. But you must still use as directed on the package. you mix it with the water and water the plant. there is no need to water first then again with fertiliser. As you do not say what tree you have or country you are in there is not much else to say, except that bob got it ass about face and probably was saying every two weeks not twice a week.

Feed twice as once is too much

Ignore that comment and do as Leatherback said.

Also, this time of the year (unless you are living in the southern hemisphere) you should probably use a low nitrogen fertilizer because you will need to strengthen your tree in order to prepare it for the incoming winter. Right now, I´m using a 0,46 : 17 : 12 (N:P:K values) fertilizer with an 18% of organic matter incorporated to the mix too.

You´ll see, any fertilizer will come with 3 basic elements N:P:K (Nitrogen:Phosphorous:Potassium), but in different proportions. The purpose of Nitrogen is to promote leaves and stems growth, the use of Phosphorous will be to encourage a healthy root growth and Potassium is meant to favor the blossoming of fruits and flowers. Anyways, if you want to learn more, just click on the following link: www.bonsaiempire.com/basics/bonsai-care/fertilizing

Exactly, we do not know the plant, we do not know whether the plant is inside or oursuide and we do not know the climate.

It is impossible to give accurate advice without these details...
