I liked Auks middle design also. Simple and uncluttered.
Sidenote-what ever shape you choose, the bonsai, pot, background would make an excellent print. It is elegant.

Coming along nicely. Good healthy foliage.
I always worry with this type of juniper (squamata?). The foliage gets so thick, and you end up with clusters of branches from frequent cyutting back. How do you handle this?
Note: Personally I think the cascading branch is getting a bit heavy.

By thinning out the foliage and removing unneeded branches.

Here's a good article about Squamata (note that I've never taken that much foliage off):

mission accomplished :woohoo:( I hope)

At the NBS in the Netherland hosted by deshima Bonsai. I found the pot for my tree :) . It's a Brian Albright pot and it's slightly bigger than the current one, but lower. I think it's a nice combination but I will have to wait till spring.

Somehow I remembered exactly what this tree looked like just by the title of the topic. It must be memorable to me for some reason.
That pot looks amazing on it's own, but I agree that it's a great match for the tree.
