Sidenote-what ever shape you choose, the bonsai, pot, background would make an excellent print. It is elegant.

I always worry with this type of juniper (squamata?). The foliage gets so thick, and you end up with clusters of branches from frequent cyutting back. How do you handle this?
Note: Personally I think the cascading branch is getting a bit heavy.

By thinning out the foliage and removing unneeded branches.

At the NBS in the Netherland hosted by deshima Bonsai. I found the pot for my tree . It's a Brian Albright pot and it's slightly bigger than the current one, but lower. I think it's a nice combination but I will have to wait till spring.

That pot looks amazing on it's own, but I agree that it's a great match for the tree.
