I found this along the tracks a while back around late May. Did some hard cuts to it got in a pot. I don't know if it's worth it. Does this tree have any potential?

Also, I'm in Southeast PA and it was around a lot of Scots or Reds I'm not sure. If an identification is possible that be awesome too. It's a two needle MFP

Maybe, if it backbuds, grows foliage closer to the trunk, you give it a few years... then... no, sorry, I do not see any potential in this tree.

What did you see in it , why did you dig it up?

I don’t know Apple.. Maybe I misunderstand the definition of Yamadori, but I think those are not young trees. I believe we choose and dig up them, cause harsh Mother Nature did the majority of the work.

You are correct, Felidae. This is NOT a Yamadori.

I used the word to point out that it was found in the wild. On train tracks where the state comes and kills every tree that could potentially touch a train, so anything I didn't hurt mother nature I gave this tree another chance. It's not much of anything. There's another I'm getting in the fall if it hasn't gotten hacked down that's at least a 40 year old juniper.that been cut and cut but keeps coming back. I just can't get to the root. It's under a ton of rocks.
