Hey, I was hoping to have this issue on my juniper identified. I'd like to wire it, but I want it to be healthy before I apply any stress to the tree. Thanks for any assistance!!

I reposted the message with the photo this time. I tried to attach to this message but was having issues. It's foliage is yellowing and it appears to be making its way up the juniper.

It looks like some root issue.
Is it outside? Watering is only when the soil feels dry? Can you carefully lift the rootball to check it out?
The soil looks OK and fast draining.
Did you do any work (such as pruning or repotting) at the wrong time?

Thank you so much for your help! It is a new plant. When it arrived it was all ready looking this way I assumed it was from being in a box for a few days. I set it outside in the sun in the original pot. After avout ten days I decided maybe it was from the original soil which looked to be holding moisture more than a bonsai mix would (it wasn't normal bonsai soil). I repotted in new coarse soil on hopes the it would help. It's been about another ten days now and I think it may be in continued decline. I can take it back out if necessary to inspect the root ball. What would I be looking for?

Don't.
If you repotted, wait.
Put it in a place outdoors with only early morning direct sun.
Wait. But if the browning spreads, it is already dead. Unfortunately.

OK, will do!! Thank you again! If it isn't to much trouble could you give me your opinion on another plant?

This is my compacta holly (dwarf). I was wondering if this is going to be the best hight to keep it (trimmings) or if I let a few sacrifice branches grow, can I increase trunk size? Thanks again!
