yes I was thinking this last night. I think I repotted it last year but it has been neglected a bit. I had the same issue last year with leaves not falling and the lichens so have been nervous about touching it and wasn't quite sure if I should trim as I had a much smaller amount of new growth so presumed it wasn't happy.

My plan is to clean of the lichens and trim back some branches. I've now learnt about letting some limbs grow and trimming off the top to get extra growth into a particular branch. I'll take another couple of pics from afar to get some suggestions about trimming and shaping as last night I ordered a new tool set.
