A new competition on Bonsai Empire is organized, and you are all invited to participate!


Why?
To celebrate the launch of Harry Harrington's new book, Bonsai Inspirations 2. His book shows the progression of relatively uninspiring materials into stunning Bonsai trees, and in doing so explaining the applied techniques.

What to do?
In line with the title of the new book, we are looking for inspiration . And as inspiration comes from nature but also from other Bonsai trees you may submit two entries:
- a tree in nature you find absolutely stunning
- a Bonsai tree that inspires you

Also, explain why both images inspire you!

- Open to all registered users at BonsaiEmpire.com
- The competition runs for three weeks, until monday the 19th of March, 2012.
- You may submit two entries (please submit both seperately); one entry with a tree in nature, and one entry with a Bonsai tree.
- The submitted photos belong to you, or permission is granted by its owner (please state the owner clearly).
- Oscar (admin) can't win
- Harry Harrington selects the three winners, his decision is final.

Great to see the competition up and running Oscar!
I'm looking forward to seeing some great images from you all, particularly shots of inspirational trees in nature. Sometimes such images can make great material for future books

It would be for me. I have already pre-ordered this book weeks ago Main problem will be which tree to select. So many old and/or bend and/or worn down trees in Twente (Netherlands). But I guess the trees from friendly Holland will not make a match against trees growing up in the rockies.

Are you looking for any windswept trees? There's quite a few here in Cape Town
