It looks like I never shared this tree with you.

In november 2016 I purchased this larch:

After styling that same winter:

A year later, I completely wired the tree again:

This year in summer I removed the yins, and flipped the tree around. As I spent the last 2 years focussing on increasing ramification, the tree is not getting to the point that it can go into a proper pot:

Thanks for sharing it with us.
Yes, I agree with you and Fonz, the jins removed resulted in improved lines and better flow.
I'd like to see it with foliage, but now I know I have to be patient and wait until March/April...

Seems you made the right choices and got the best out of the tree.

Yeah... I like these progressions a lot too.

Very well designed tree, and I agree with Auk, you definitelly got the most out of the material that was a good choice too :)
Looking forwad to further development.

And.. Spring is just around the corner. This one got new shoes. Not the final pot, but the best I could get on short notice without breaking my bank account.

Leatherback, if you plan to keep this front, how long do you think it will take for the big chop scar to heal?
It's the only detail that still bothers me a little.

1231 days I think.
In seriousness.. I hope it will close in the next few years. Larch can close holes but at a certain point "accepts" the damage which requires re-scarring. Not sure how long it will tak. But I am closing holes 10cm diameter on a maple. This small hole should close :)
