Hi all,

About a month ago I got a water jasmine (Wrightia Riligiosa) ... I pruned the leaves back about 50%. I also fertilised the soil with organic fertiliser, fish emulsifier.

Subsequently in less than a few weeks I got crazy growth and back budding et al. However the new leave that have come are gigantic in size compare to what the tree originally had.

Looking for tips on how to maintain small leaf size.

The point was not to state the obvious and something I already knew but to offer a solution and not be a douchebag in the process by trying to be all sarcastic.

It’s better you not comment on my posts.

Don't fertilize heavily.

This is an absolutely unnecessary threat.

A threat is usually followed with an absolution or concequence.

This was a suggestion as it clearly reads. Coz this person Auk cannot seem to talk in a civil manner. So I need no part of it.

It’s a forum and so I post here.. hoping to have a constructive discussion. If I want a street fight... well I will go to the streets and fight and not hide behind a computer screen and post.

If it is obvious and you already knew, why did you ask?

If you read the post again the question was not to about what lead to the growth and that I got caught like a dear in headlights after applying fertiliser. Good heavens what is the point of fertiliser otherwise. I think everyone can tell that the growth was due to the fertilisers.

The question was on maintaining small leaf size going forward. I was hoping to hear suggestions around if it would be wise to prune/defoliate again... wait for a while. General tips on leaf size reduction.

I applied fertiliser to spur back budding and to grow some new branches as I am trying to ramifications the tree from which I got good results and also posted pictures of. The fallout of which is extra big leaves. Now trying to manage leaf size.
