3 weeks from the layering and the Shishigashira gone beast mode:

I wondering if I try to get some cuttings from it, because if the layers done, I’ll chop down the whole thing anyway.

Definitely :) But it’s really not an easy task to keep in my mind the different needs for all of the specs what I’ve got in this short period. I wish I have your XP in the field...

Hey :) I hope some still remember me..
Both air-layers was successful on this Shishi, so I took it further, and this spring I layered the mother to ungraft it. The little ones have really nice root system by now, so I believe I can start to work with the bigger one on the next spring. The small “Gemini” need to bulking up, so I planned to put on a large planter with an other young, skinny maple.
