yes yamadori are colected from wild but are not necessarely stunted ive seen trees with 12 inch diameter trunks used .what baffels me is they chainsaw these things out of the ground they are basically a stunp with the roots cut off and they get them to grow and after 10 years and some deadwood carving the trees are spectacular
