Those look exactly like the Italian stone pine seeds I found online. They are beautiful.

Winter, I also have another question for you, since you live near Italy. Do you happen to know if there are any Italian Cypress trees in the area as well? And Italian Olive trees wild growing in the area? I'm not asking you to go out of your way to find them, but, if you happen to see them in your travels, that would be SO cool.

You are seriously asking me if there are Italian cypress and olive trees here?
Do they wear mustaches in Mexico??? Is the Vatican covering the pe.......???
Of course there are! There are so many I consider them pests. See pictures in the attached - this is how every corner here looks like.
I know - I will look for seeds and let you know.

Attached are the pictures of the parent-tree of what I'm now sure is the Italian stone pine that I have the seeds of (It fits all the descriptions I found on the net). This one as you can see is slightly taller than a house, but there are in the are some Id say 20m or more tall.
The one I planted is now 3 weeks old. Planted it without any preparation - just crushed the shell and placed in wet cotton.

And there are also many oak trees in the area. They became almost extinct in this area because the Italians were cutting them to built the underwater foundations of Venice. My son planted its seed 3 years ago and it's growing fast.

You're welcomed.
You can buy these olive trees in the local nursery for only 5.000USD/pcs.

Try to start finding your own bonsai material in your own backyard.. it is possible that you can find some like FICUS. Ficus is a good material for beginners. Do some research first and join bonsai club in the internet.
