Juniper, dead for a long time, not a bonsai

It's a juniper.
If it's not green, it's dead.

I went out of town with my son watering the trees, or rather not watering. The lime tree had nothing but crispy yellow leaves. I kept it right there and it got water every day while I hoped. Two months later I gave up and was reaching to pull it out of the pot and saw a little spot of bright green. Two months later I cut the dead stuff off and had a pretty decent bonsai. Where there's green there's hope.

A citrus with no leaves is different from a crisp juniper though...
Survival of juniper is already tricky when more than 80% of the foliage is lost.
